TRAINING TO IMPROVE KNOWLEDGE OF SMEs ON TOOLS AND INSTRUMENTS TO FACILITATE THE EXPORT OF GOODS AND SERVICES

In view of the need to foster the export activity of Nicaraguan SMEs through the improvement of their human resources, this project focused on the development of a training service to improve knowledge of SMEs on tools and instruments to facilitate the export of goods and services aimed at a total of 140 companies from the 5 priority sectors (agribusiness, wood-furniture, leather-footwear, textile-clothing and handicrafts) and distributed in 7 Departments.

A total of 7 seminars were held for 2 days duration for each seminar on the following topics: Existing tools and methods in Quality Management, BPA, PBM, HACCP, certifications, standards and related technical regulations; Techniques and tools for the improvement and innovation of productive processes and product design; Procedures and regulations for exporting at Central American and European level; Discussion and Analysis of benefits and use of trade agreements (ADA), information and market access; Presentation of ICT as a tool in business management, marketing and market access; Tools for business management; Presentation of information on associativity and networking for marketing.

Moreover, seminars were held for 35 Officials of the Departmental Delegations of the Family Economy Ministry; through a special training course designed for training and equipping them with knowledge and methodological tools to strengthen their action to support MSMEs and their functions in the Family Economy Ministry.
